I didn’t realise this was possible but on reviewing the latest app updates I discovered you can swipe to delete directly from the update section of the App Store on your iPhone.
Being able to do this is a nice little time saver when I realise an app I haven’t used in ages is being updated and I don’t even need it anymore.
